Sunday afternoon

My mom and sister came over and we had a nice girls day- lunch, shopping and a long walk.  We took my mom around the lake and wanted to show her the turtles. The next thing you know there were turtles coming at us from all directions! I think we counted 15 and I couldn't even get a picture with all of them in it.





Kennedy slept through most of the walk



then she woke up and was probably wondering where all those turtles came from!

Sunday Morning

I tried to practice taking pictures of flowers, but just ended up frustrated.  I am frustrated in general by photography latelty, there is just too much to learn and nothing ever turns out how I want it to. And editing, that is a whole other can of worms. Everytime I try to play with photoshop I end up with a headache!

Kennedy tried to eat her playpen for awhile, then just stood around watching mommy play with her camera.

Happy Birthday Sis!

My sister is also my best friend and I love her dearly. Her birthday was this past weekend and let's just say her weekend didn't go exactly as planned. Poor thing had the Birthday from hell. But it started off well with a breakfast get together.

The next night we got together got a girls night in and made some wishes...

Then we pigged out on some candy!

Happy Birthday Kim, I love you.  I'm sorry your 26th year started off so crappy, but you are a wonderful person and I know this year will bring you great things.

Today Kennedy was finally feeling a little better so she played for a bit while mommy got some work done.  I'm so glad my little cutie is feeling better!

Sick baby, Long week

Kennedy has been sick all week so there hasn't been much time for taking pictures.  Here is one picture I forgot to post last week of Kennedy passed out in her playpen.  She was happy as could be, playing with her toys and snacking on a bottle. The next thing I know she is dead asleep passed out on her stuffed frog. So cute!

Yesterday our friend AJ came over to visit- other than Kennedy, he is probably my favorite kid in the whole world. He decided he wanted to play in Kennedy's crib...  Cuteness ensued:

Mothers Day Prep

Ron ended up having the day off today so we took Kennedy in the backyard and let her try "painting". I wanted her to do this so we could turn her paintings into Mothers Day cards for her Grandmas. She loved it so much and went crazy as soon as her hands touched the paint. We were so busy trying to hold her and make sure she didn't touch her face that I almost forgot to take pictures. When I did grab my camera I had it in the wrong setting and most of them are really over-exposed and can't be saved. These are a couple that came out ok:

We also made my mom and stepping stone for her backyard. I wanted to put Kennedy's handprint in it, but all she wanted to go was grab the cement and make a mess, she we stuck her foot in it instead. 

Extension Tubes!

I have been wanting some extension tubes and finally ordered a set. I wasn't expecting them until the 11th but when I got home today they were here! I was so excited and couldn't wait to try them out, but I get them on the camera and can't figure out how the hell to use them! By the time I started to get the hang of it, Kennedy was hungry and daylight was fading. So these are all I got, but I can't wait to play some more!

Wedding

A friend of mine got married this past weekend and she made all her own flower arrangement (she also did all the flowers for my wedding). I offered to help get all the flowers to the wedding site and get everything set up.  Loading all the flowers in my little car was funny, but it smelled great!

Ron was in the wedding:

The wedding was in a garden (Same place Ron & I got married at) and it was so pretty. It made me wish I brought more than just my little point and shoot camera so I could have walked around and taken so pictures.   I tried to snap a couple pics during the ceremony but I was sitting too far back and the sun was so bright, so I gave up and took a picture of someone else taking a picture, ha ha.
