Zroom Zroom!

Kennedy got a fancy new toy from Grandma today:

First we sat her on it:

But, she didn't really like that.  So she just started checking it out and pushing it around:

And of course, just like everything she gets her hands on, she tried to eat it:

I also tried to snap a picture of us together, put I can never get her to sit still and let me hold her long enough, so this is what we got:

107- I kicked it with Ellen!

Last year I was lucky enough to get to be in the audience of Ellen's Mother's Day show. Ellen gave everyone a ton of baby gear which I will be forever grateful for since Ron and I had both just been laid off and that was pretty scary when you are expecting your first child!   We also got this Ellen onsie and this week the show emailed us asking for pictures of all the babies wearing them.  These are a few I took today:

And a silly one with Grandma and Grandpa:

So, I have kind of giving up on the whole 365 thing.  I will still be trying to take pictures everyday, but it kind of takes the fun out of it when you have had a busy day and then you have to scramble to take a picture of something in your dark, boring house.   So I will keep updating with photos, but they may not be one from every single day.

Last week Kennedy's favorite toy was my cell phone, this week it is the remote:

We were both sick this past week so there wasn't anything too exciting going on.

100

Today my sister and I took Kennedy to LA for the Cherry Blossom Festival.  Imagine our dissapointment when there were zero cherry blossoms and just some crappy booths! Oh well, at least we got to meet Hello Kitty and turn Kennedy into her mini-me.

99- Poppies!

Today I drove to Lancaster with my Dad and Kennedy to checkout the poppy reserve.  There was a decent amount of poppies but it was nothing compared to the fields we found by just driving around.  It was so amazing- bright orange that just went on and on almost as far as you could see.  The orange was so bright it was almost unreal, it was beautiful.  We set Kennedy in a patch of flowers and she was in heaven! I think she could have stayed there all day playing with the flowers and pulling at the petals- but when she started to try and eat them we knew it was time to go!

That last picture above was taken by my dad- it looks like Kennedy is smelling the flower, but really she is trying to eat it.

Days 95-98

98- Why, why, why did I ever have to find out about The Pioneer Woman? I have become obssesed with her website and all the recipes! Everyday I have to search through them, drooling and making shopping lists. I have made a few recipes a week and have not been dissapointed yet.  Well, I am dissapointed in myself for eating all of it, while I am trying to lose weight.  Her recipes are not exactly diet friendly.

My favorite recipe so far is the buttered rosemary rolls- yum!  I made them last night for the 2nd time.

97-  Kennedy is so beautiful and I can't take credit since NOBODY thinks she looks like me.  I love to watch her when she is napping, she looks so sweet and peaceful and I just want to cuddle with her all day.

96-  As I've posted before, Kennedy really loves our dog Norm and cat Katrina.  But, she doesn't understand that it is not ok to grab chunks of the fur and yank as hard as she can.  Norm is not crazy about this and lately tries to keep his distance from her.  But for Katrina, I think she is so happy to have someone giving her so much attention that she just keeps taking the abuse. The other day Katrina got brave and jumped into Kennedy's playpen (while it was empty)  A little while later I put Kennedy in there and snapped a few pictures of her mauling the cat before I moved the poor kitty out of there.  I swear, Katrina does not mind at all!

95-  Soooo, remember earlier I said I am trying to lose a little weight?  I ordered a week of Nutrisystem to test it out and see if it was even edible before dropping the cash for a month's worth.  The food I have tried so far isn't bad, but I now understand why everyone seems to lose weight on it:

They freakin starve you to death!  This is DINNER, the whole meal. Smaller than my damn hand!!!!  I guess you can have fruits and veggies too, but this is insane.

94- Happy Easter!

Despite some chilly weather, Kennedy's 1st Easter went well. She got to spend the whole day with her favorite people- Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Kimmy and Uncle Danny!

Days 88-93?

Oops, I've kind of lost count of the days. My camera wasn't working for a couple days and I was really upset. Luckily it was just something with the lens and I was able to get it working again.  So, I didn't get to take a picture every day this week, but I did take some.

I have been trying to practice on focus still. I just can't seem to get eyes really sharp looking.  Norm is easy to practice on since he sits real still for me most of the time:

Kennedy is a lot harder! She is always moving and nailing the focus is already hard enough for me:

And this one is just for fun- her new favorite toy:

Today Kennedy was invited to a birthday party!  Even though she was the youngest one there, she had a great time. She got her face painted (just a little), did an easter egg hunt and mastered an obstacle course!

Here she is crawling around with the birthday girl:

And here is the obstacle course:

We put her in it thinking we would just get a quick picture and she would probably come right out.

But she didn't want out and I couldn't believe she made it all the way through!

Yay!!!

Hopefully tomorrow I can get some good pictures of her on Easter.
